Judging by Community Partners

The involvement of professionals in the Entrepreneur Boot Camp is the backbone of the event. The real world experience and mentorship provided by judges drives students to develop their ideas. In addition to judging pitches or leading workshops, Entrepreneur Boot Camp judges have the opportunity to create valuable connections with Faculty of Management students. Judges for 2020 included:

Past Competitions

The success from the three past Entrepreneur Boot Camps shows in the growing number of students introduced to entrepreneurial practices, generating interest in starting companies, the number of companies started, growing list of judges and collaboration across campus.

2017 Winner: 3E, a wearable safety device that saves lives from electrocution. Engineering student Cailan Libby not only pitched the product, he brought in a functioning prototype.

2015 Winner: Third Dimension (rebranded from Luminous). The first and second place winners in 2015 competition joined forces creating a mobile survey tool and a portable software platform for fast replacement of survey pegs at construction sites.

2014 Winner: Adventure Bucket List, adventure tourism company currently exploring opportunities in Chile.

2014 Promising Business Model: FestFeed, a social media platform for festivals. FestFeed was accepted as one of 12 winning ventures chosen for The Next Big Thing Fellowship, co-founded by Ryan Holmes, CEO of Hootsuite.
